Architectural Design challenge 2025
The Architecture Department, College of Science and Technology, in collaboration with Phuentsholing Thromde, successfully organized a design competition on 31st of October 2025 focusing on Zirey- Palden Tashi Chholing Shedra and the Remodelling of the Integrated Vegetable Market in Phuentsholing.
The event brought together architecture students and faculty members, officials of Phuentsholing Thromde in an engaging showcase of creative ideas for the city’s urban spaces.
Team IVM1 – 𝗠𝘀.𝗝𝗶𝗴𝗱𝗿𝗲𝗹 𝗝𝘂𝗿𝗺𝗲𝘆 𝗖𝗵𝗼𝗱𝗲𝗻, 𝗠𝗿.𝗧𝗮𝘀𝗵𝗶 𝗗𝗲𝗻𝗱𝗵𝘂𝗽, 𝗠𝗿.𝗧𝗵𝘂𝗸𝘁𝗲𝗻 𝗬𝗼𝗲𝘇𝗲𝗿 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗠𝗿.𝗗𝘂𝗿𝗯𝗮 𝗠𝗼𝗻𝗴𝗮𝗿 (4th Year Architecture) won the Interior Remodeling of Integrated Vegetable Market with a cash prize of Nu. 50,000.
Team Z7 – 𝗠𝗿.𝗦𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗮𝘆 𝗪𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗰𝗵𝘂𝗸 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗠𝗿.𝗟𝗲𝗸𝗶 𝗧𝘀𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 (5th Year Architecture) won the Zirey Design Challenge with a cash prize of Nu. 30,000.
Consolation cash prizes and certificates were also awarded to all participating teams in recognition of their effort and creativity.
