Guest Lecture and exchange
The Architecture Department had the pleasure of hosting 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐟𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐨𝐫 𝐂𝐚𝐫𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐧 𝐋𝐨𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐳𝐞𝐧, Danish architect and founder of 𝐋𝐨𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐳𝐞𝐧 𝐌𝐚𝐲𝐞𝐫 𝐀𝐫𝐜𝐡𝐢𝐭𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐬, established in Copenhagen in 1987. With a German office in Berlin since 2011, his firm has been widely recognized for its focus on Urban and Residential Design. Professor Lorenzen has also been teaching as Professor of Housing Construction at TU Dresden since 1993.
During his visit, Professor Lorenzen delivered an insightful guest lecture on “𝐎𝐫𝐧𝐚𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐥 𝐄𝐥𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬 𝐢𝐧 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐇𝐨𝐮𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐢𝐧 𝐆𝐞𝐫𝐦𝐚𝐧𝐲” and interacted with our 5th Year Urban Design Studio and 4th Year Housing Design Studio students. His engaging discussions on design philosophy, architectural thinking, and professional experiences inspired students to explore new ways of seeing and shaping built environments.
It was a day filled with inspiration, learning, and meaningful exchange and an experience our students will surely carry forward in their architectural journey.
