Department Aim
The programme will prepare graduates with artistic and creative flair who are competent to work in a global architectural market. Knowledge and skills on design and creation will be achieved within a practice-based learning environment that merges design studios, workshops and building sites complimented by personal development of students.
Learning Outcome
Upon successful completion of the Bachelor of Architecture, the graduates will be able to:
1. Develop designs in line with context and historical background fulfilling both aesthetic and technical requirements.
2. Work collaboratively as an effective team member.
3. Conduct research to enhance the quality of built environment.
4. Promote traditional Bhutanese architecture.
5. Integrate modern technologies harmoniously with traditional architectural features.
6. Communicate effectively on technical, spatial, and conceptual aspects of one’s design through various representation and media.
7. Execute design and construction projects with quality, professional standards and ethics
