Building Construction-III Exercise
In the recent Building Construction module, students were challenged to explore bamboo as a sustainable building material by designing an innovative bamboo structure. Working in groups, they developed scaled models that demonstrated careful consideration of structural systems, stability, and aesthetics. Each model was accompanied by a detailed A3 booklet, showcasing construction techniques, joinery details, and material specifications that would be used in a full-scale build.

This hands-on project not only fostered creativity and teamwork among the participants but also significantly deepened students’ understanding of sustainable construction practices, allowing them to apply theoretical knowledge in a practical setting. Through collaborative efforts, they were able to explore innovative solutions that address environmental challenges in construction, making the experience not just educational but also impactful.
